Statutory compliance calendar, by industry

Twelve practice areas, each with the regulators that matter, the statutes that govern them, and the recurring and event-driven obligations a practice actually has to diarise — with the form number, the rule that sets the date, and what happens if it is missed.

Where entries are marked for verification, and why that matters

A large part of Indian compliance is state law. Factory returns, shops-and-establishment registration, excise licensing, stamp duty and RERA quarterly-update windows all differ by state and sometimes by municipality. Thresholds move with every Finance Act, and codes are notified in stages — the labour codes and the DPDP Act being the obvious examples.

So entries whose exact date, form number, threshold or commencement is state-specific or recently amended are marked for verification and say what to check, instead of printing a confident date. This is not hedging. A fabricated compliance date does not produce a wrong paragraph somebody notices; it produces a diary entry somebody trusts, and then a real deadline is missed.
